Vignettes and Commentaries
This page gives you access to all of the vignettes. The vignettes are divided into six categories according to the racial or ethnic group involved. Each vignette has a commentary located on a separate page - a page which contains both the vignette and the commentary. (For PDF files of vignettes and commentaries to download, see bottom of page.)
The purpose of separating the commentary is to allow the reader to have his or her own reaction to
the vignette before reading the point of view offered in the commentary. Taking time to reflect on the questions at the end of the vignette will help you become more aware of your own racial mind set. The vignettes can be used by both individuals and groups.
